Join us for a hands-on morning at Mt Airy Lavender Farm and learn all about lavender, including how to successfully grow it, which varieties are best for different uses, how lavender is harvested and distilled for essential oil, and some of our favorite ways to use lavender in everyday life.
During this workshop, you’ll:

Discover the differences between lavender varieties and how to choose the right ones
Explore the many benefits and uses of lavender
Learn how to propagate lavender so you can grow your own plants
Make your own handmade lavender sugar scrub
Take home a lavender plant
No gardening or lavender-growing experience is necessary. Whether you’re thinking about growing your first lavender plant or already have lavender in your garden and want to learn more, this workshop is for you.
Your instructor, Joanne Voelcker, co-owner of Mt Airy Lavender, is a board member of the U.S. Lavender Growers Association and has presented at numerous lavender conferences, sharing her experience in growing, harvesting, using, and building a business around lavender.
