Ever wondered how the fragrant lavender growing in our fields becomes the lavender essential oil and calming hydrosol spray you love?

Spend a summer afternoon with us at Mt Airy Lavender Farm and experience the fascinating process of steam distillation firsthand.

In this interactive, hands-on workshop, you’ll follow lavender from the field to the still and discover how we transform freshly harvested lavender into pure essential oil and hydrosol.

During the workshop, you’ll:

🌿 Learn about lavender essential oil and hydrosol, including their benefits and some of our favorite ways to use them.

🔥 Experience steam distillation firsthand as we fill the still with lavender and walk through the distillation process from beginning to end.

💧 Watch the magic happen as essential oil and hydrosol begin to emerge from the still—and learn how these two very different lavender products are created at the same time.

🌸 Breathe it all in as the wonderful scent of lavender fills the air. Distillation day is one of our favorite experiences at the farm!

You’ll leave with new knowledge, a deeper appreciation for this incredible plant, and a complimentary bottle of our handcrafted Lavender Calming Spray, made with lavender hydrosol and essential oil distilled right here at our farm.
